Security Leadership Event Offers Peer Engagement, Resilience Knowledge Sharing

April 15, 2019– The City of Calgary and The Security Executive Council are joining to co-host a unique opportunity for security leaders and their teams to learn, grow, and connect.

This next in our ongoing series of Next Generation Security Leadership (NGSL) events will bring together high-level security practitioners with their peers in a two-day interactive learning experience. The event, titled Driving Current and Future Corporate and Municipal All-Hazard Resilience, will take place at the newly renovated, breathtaking Calgary Public Library and may be accessed for remote participants by phone.

“We can’t overstate the importance of knowledge sharing when aiming for excellence,” says Francis D’Addario. “NGSL events engage high-level leaders with peers, staff, and likely successors for in depth, interactive sessions designed specifically for vetted security practitioners and their cross-functional teams.”

Since 2014, NGSL has offered research, proven practices, and solutions on current and emerging security leadership topics. This on-going gathering will feature interactive sessions led by proven business continuity, cyber, risk management, safety and security practitioners. Topics include Demonstrating Resilient Security Values to Leadership; Preparing Your CEO for the Board After a Workplace Violence Incident; and Leveraging Public/Private Partnerships.
