SEC Advisory Board Member Greg Wurm Recognized as Influential Security Leader

September 12, 2024 – Greg Wurm, member of the Security Executive Council’s Advisory Board of Visionary Leaders, has been recognized in Security Magazine’s 2024 list of the Most Influential People in Security.

Greg is Vice President and Chief Security Officer for Elevance Health, where he has helped to grow the security department from 12 associates and less than 100 U.S. sites in 2011 to more than 85 security associates and more than 400 sites globally. Greg's commitment to excellence has led to a significant transformation in Elevance Health's security landscape, promoting an integrated approach to security and safety.

Greg also serves as the Private Sector Co-Chair for the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), working with businesses and the State Department to share information and maintain threat awareness and crisis preparedness for organizations and personnel abroad. He has been selected to be a mentor in ASIS' Security Leaders Mentoring program, helping multiple mentees grow their knowledge of leadership and/or security. He has also been selected as a mentor within Elevance Health, working with mentees across the company to develop strong leadership skills.

The SEC’s Board of Visionary Leaders are security practitioners uniquely positioned to identify emerging business issues or risks that may impact security. Their insight can help shape research and development of SEC tools or processes that assist the security community to manage developing or evolving risks.
