CSO EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ANNOUNCES NEW POSITION TO REFLECT MEMBERSHIP

Framingham, MA—September 1, 2006—The CSO Executive Council, a professional membership organization serving top security executives, today announced it has created a new position geared to drive membership related key strategic initiatives. The new Emeritus Faculty Chairs will help manage issues of the Council’s diversified membership including international and sector issues. David Burrill, formerly Head of Group Security, British American Tobacco and now a director of BurrillGreen with which the Council has just established an agency arrangement, will manage international operations and initiatives. Ken Davis, former Vice President & CISO of Health Care Service Corporation will oversee IT security initiatives. Mark Lex, former Director, Global Security of Abbott Labs will oversee corporate security initiatives.

All three former security executives will ensure that the growing Council membership produces tools and solutions specific to their peers’ needs. Additional Chairs will follow as specific sector needs are identified. Consistent with current processes, the new chairs will work with the main office to make sure the collective voices across the membership are heard.
