Annual Compensation Survey Provides Leverage in Tough Economic Times

January 12, 2009, Washington, DC—Leading compensation research firm and Security Executive Council strategic alliance partner Foushée Group Inc. is conducting its eighth annual Security and Compliance Compensation Survey. Survey input will be accepted until January 22, and the complete survey report will become available in March.

Many companies in today’s challenging economic conditions will explore ways to reduce expenses. Human Resources departments may be asked to audit their current compensation practices against overall market practices. Without credible market data, managers will not be able to justify compensation levels for their employees with a degree of accuracy, leaving them vulnerable to budget cuts that could damage their workforce and quality prospects for new hires. They will also have a hard time justifying their own compensation.

The eighth annual Security & Compliance Compensation Survey may help with these significant challenges. The Survey Report will include more than 164 pages of text and tables detailing the compensation practices for more than 68 executive, management, professional and technical positions. Security and compliance professionals can incorporate this data into their compensation planning, thereby maintaining their ability to attract and retain top talent, and ensuring their positions are competitively paid.

Each organization that participates in this year's annual survey will receive the comprehensive printed survey report for $500. An electronic version is also available for uploading most data to the organization’s human resources information system (HRIS). Organizations that do not participate in the survey will be able to purchase the survey report one time only as a non- participant; thereafter, they must participate to obtain a copy of the report. The cost of the Survey Report for a non-participant is $925.

Time is running out to participate. Go to www.fousheesurvey.com to complete the participation order form today.

Later this spring, some of the position descriptions and compensation trending data from this survey will be highlighted in a new version of the book Security Careers, by Jerry Brennan and Foushée Group’s Steve Walker. The current version of Security Careers is now available in the SEC store at a discounted price. Visit www.securityexecutivecouncil.com/secstore/ for more information.
