Senior Manager, Safety & Security

How you’ll make an impact:

  • The Senior Manager Safety & Security oversees and maintains the safety & security risks for our distribution centers, retail stores, and offices across the US & Canada. This role partners with cross-functional leadership ensuring Safety & Security compliance of all state & regional regulations across a dynamic landscape.
  • This role has a dual reporting relationship to the VP Store Operations and VP/GM Distribution and is based in our Atlanta, GA corporate office.

Safety and Security Program Management (50%)

  • Responsible for establishing training programs, tools, and resources to identify mitigate safety-related risks across the distribution centers, offices, and stores in partnership with HR/Asset Protection
  • Develop, facilitate, and maintain global security policies, procedures, and standards in partnership with key leaders, to mitigate security and related operational risks
  • Understand and lead the concepts of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Emergency Response and lead/maintain local emergency action plans
  • Routinely drive collaboration with Legal, Human Resources, Benefits and Store/DC Leaders
  • Oversee regular risk assessments and workplace inspections through on-site teams to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate corrective plans
  • Facilitate employee safety training programs consistent with federal, state/provincial, or other regulatory requirements, in partnership with key business partners and external vendors
  • Conduct workshops for employees and contractors, including training in emergency response
  • Partner with on-site leaders to ensure proper utilization and execution of contract security programs and overall regulatory needs

We’d Love to hear from you if: (Requirements section) Must have:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing workplace safety programs, preferably in distribution, retail store operations or manufacturing environment
  • Effective collaborator and influencer across people, regions, and functions.Strong communications, inter-personal and relationship building skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in safety, security, or health safety related work
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, OSHA, and related federal/state/provincial regulations
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing progressive programs and policies
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Solutions-oriented thinker with seasoned judgment and strong analytical and tactical skills
  • 30-40% travel (stores, DC, and Office locations in US/International)
