The Senior Director Security Information Protection Insider Risk (IP/IR) is a United States (US) based position and will be a member of the North America (NA) Security Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of NA Security. The area of responsibility for the IR portion of this role will be the Americas. The goal of this position is to provide strategic leadership for a holistic, scalable, and centralized capability to address any IP/IR that can include espionage, terrorism, sabotage, radicalization, targeted violence, unauthorized disclosure of Sanofi information, or the degradation of Sanofi resources or capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advancing the Corporate Security IP/IR programs, ensuring global and regional KPIs are met; identify critical assets and levels of exposure; advance awareness of risk associated to Sanofi’s people, information, and products; provide a coordinated, cross functional platform to deter, detect, and mitigate the IP/IR threat as well as negligent or inadvertent risk behavior, and contribute to overall objectives of Americas Security by supporting a Security culture.

In addition to leadership and program development capabilities, the person selected for this position must have the ability to translate data-driven information into actionable intelligence which produces investigative results. The ability to collaborate transversally will be essential for success.

This position will utilize subject matter expertise to operationalize and contribute to the continued growth and adaptability of Sanofi’s global IP/IR programs; manage the development, implementation, evaluation of the programs as well as ensuring consistency and compatibility across all Global Business Units and Functions located in the Americas; lead the Highly Sensitive Project program (HSPS) in NA; participate and lead cross-functional working groups and workshops in support of the programs; manage employees or partnered services who are engaged in IP/IR; contribute to Americas and Global Security strategic objectives and long-range goals; prepare and/or contribute to annual security threat briefings; lead investigations related to IP/IR and collaborate with internal and external partners to include senior Sanofi management, federal/state or local intelligence, and law enforcement entities with appropriate security network support.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

Advanced degree preferred

15+ years of relevant leadership and operational experience within the corporate sector or US government

Proven ability to work in a global environment

Experience investigating corporate or government espionage, as well as the theft of trade secrets and intellectual property

Experience developing and executing security-related programs at the leadership level

Established relationships within the US intelligence and law enforcement community

Awareness of data analytics and insider risk tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

Proven ability to lead change, collaborate, and be part of a high-performance culture

Superior communications skills

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Americas operational experience preferred
