Personal Safety and Security Playbook: Risk Mitigation Guidance for Individuals, Families, Organizations, and Communities

Return to Program Best Practices
Organizations have a Duty of Care to their staff and employees that includes protecting their health and safety while in the office environment. But what about helping to protect them at home?

Showing staff and employees that the organization cares about their wellbeing beyond the campus builds a positive corporate culture of trust and has other benefits as well. Victims of burglary, robbery, and assault can miss from 8 to 60 days of work dealing with the physical and mental repercussions of those crimes. A safer workforce is a more productive workforce.

What’s more, if the 2020 trend of increased work-from-home continues, organizations would be wise to help their employees learn as much as possible about how to keep their home workplace - and corporate assets and information in the home - safe.

The Personal Safety and Security Playbook was designed with staff and employees as its target audience. Its goal is to share techniques to prevent crime and protect families at home and on personal travel.
