Tom Mahlik

Tom Mahlik joined the Security Executive Council faculty in January 2026, bringing over four decades of leadership experience across security, law enforcement, crisis response, and enterprise risk management in both the commercial and government sectors.

Most recently, Tom served as Vice President for Strategic Client Engagement at Pamir Consulting, where he led the scoping and delivery of China-focused risk advisory services and enterprise mitigation programs.

Previously, Tom was Director of Corporate Security Programs at Delta Air Lines, overseeing an integrated portfolio including facility risk assessment, access control, high-risk employee protection, insider threat mitigation, and adaptive security technologies. Prior to Delta, he held the senior security leadership roles at The MITRE Corporation (Corporate Director of Global Security Services) and the Raytheon Company (Business Unit Security Director), where he was instrumental in designing and implementing enterprise-wide security strategies, programs, and systems.

Tom began his private-sector career following 25 years as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), serving in domestic and international leadership roles spanning counterintelligence, counterterrorism, cyber, and criminal investigations. He also held senior executive assignments within the Department of Defense and Department of Justice, including roles at FBI Headquarters within the National Security Branch focused on threat assessment and interagency engagement.

Tom received a B.S. degree in marketing from Arizona State University and attended the Kellogg School of Management Executive Program.
