Description:

About the job

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Global Security Manager (SGSM) to lead and strengthen our enterprise-wide physical security program. Based at our New York City headquarters and reporting directly to the General Counsel, the SGSM will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across the organization, balancing proactive risk management with our collaborative, innovative, and people-first culture.

This role is mission-critical: you will ensure the safety of our people, assets, and facilities while enabling business continuity, executive mobility, and employee wellbeing. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all security matters related to our CEO, including executive protection, secure travel coordination, and day-to-day operational support.

In a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, you’ll lead with calm, clarity, and credibility, using your expertise, strategic thinking, and sound judgment to guide decision-making and reinforce trust. You’ll also play a key role in communicating the company’s protective services strategy and fostering a security-conscious mindset that enhances, rather than inhibits, our vibrant workplace culture.

You'll Get To...

• Strategic Leadership & Global Oversight

• Develop and implement a forward-looking, enterprise-wide physical security strategy that supports company growth and reflects operational goals and cultural values.
• Oversee physical security operations across U.S. and international offices, ensuring alignment with protocols, legal standards, and organizational risk tolerance.
• Lead and communicate the protective services mission clearly to executive stakeholders, integrating safety seamlessly into our collaborative and hospitality-driven environment.
• Maintain and evolve the company’s Business Continuity Plan in coordination with Legal, Facilities, and Corporate IT.

• Executive & Travel Protection

• Serve as the primary lead for executive protection, with a particular focus on the CEO, managing all aspects of secure travel, discreet protection, and proactive threat monitoring.
• Manage the Executive Protection Program, including intelligence briefings, real-time risk assessments, travel logistics, and on-the-ground security support.
• Lead the Travel Risk Management Program, ensuring global employee safety through situational awareness, tracking, emergency protocols, and pre-trip briefings.
• Own the Mass Communications System for real-time crisis alerts and emergency notifications.

• Operational Security & Crisis Response

• Oversee the daily management and strategic development of all technical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• Conduct operational risk and threat assessments for physical locations, offsite events, and executive travel destinations.
• Lead internal investigations and act as liaison to law enforcement and external agencies.
• Manage contracts and performance of third-party security vendors, including executive protection and emergency response partners.
• Design, execute, and continuously improve emergency preparedness programs including fire/life safety, evacuation drills, and incident response procedures.

• Event & Workplace Security

• Conduct security planning and oversight for internal and external events, especially those involving senior leadership or heightened risk.
• Partner with Facilities, Workplace Experience, and Corporate IT to build an environment that is both safe and welcoming.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Deliver training and awareness sessions to staff and senior leadership on physical security best practices and emergency protocols.
• Act as a key partner to cross-functional teams including Legal, Corporate IT, HR, Finance, Data Security, and Facilities, ensuring cohesive security integration throughout business operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlord security, building wardens, and local emergency services across all office locations.

Qualifications:

Who We're Looking For...

• 10+ years of experience in law enforcement, military, or a relevant government security agency.
• 5+ years of corporate physical security leadership, including direct support to C-suite executives.

• Demonstrated expertise in:

• Executive protection & secure travel coordination
• Crisis management and emergency response
• Technical systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)
• Vendor oversight and contract negotiation
• Risk assessments and internal investigations
• Cross-functional collaboration and policy development
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive presence
• Composed, clear-headed, and decisive under pressure
• Availability for on-call response, including evenings, weekends, and special events
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• A strategic and trusted professional who leads with integrity, discretion, and operational excellence. You bring deep experience, sound judgment, and calm leadership to complex challenges—advising executives, mitigating threats, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and resilient workplace. You protect not just people and property—but also the company’s mission and culture.
