Description:

As the Head of Security Operations, you will be a part of a global team working to ensure that security workflows in the realm of user protection are managed effectively, with minimal impact on our business, users, or brand. You will be working across various teams within Trust and Safety, Public Policy, Engineering, Legal, communications, and Public Relations (PR) to resolve standard escalations.

In this role, you will lead highly sensitive, high priority projects that pose a high level of threat to Google and our users, which will involve real-time problem solving, managing executive stakeholders, and driving decision making with minimal supervision. You will build close relationships with other security and escalation management teams across Trust and Safety, including working with stakeholders to implement consistent security standards and processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 11 years of experience in developer support, policy enforcement, customer support, policy creation, security programs, business strategy, operations consulting, or similar roles.
• 2 years of experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to lead stakeholders and drive consensus across all experience levels.
• Ability to function well in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to action and test the status quo to build more effective and efficient security operations function.
• Excellent people management and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, with executive stakeholders.
