We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director, Security & Investigations to allow us to continue to support the business with regards to an expanding portfolio in the physical security space.

What You'll Do In The Role
• Support the Vice President, WM Security & Investigations - Americas, in managing day-to-day security operations for Wealth Management across the Americas.
• Supervise security staff and coordinate with branch management to ensure compliance with Firm security protocols.
• Assist in conducting investigations impacting employees, clients, and associates, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to Firm policies.
• Coordinate with Fusion/BCM/Resilience teams, Legal, HR, and Technology on security matters affecting branch locations.
• Implement and monitor access control systems, CCTV, and physical security technologies at branch offices.
• Analyze intelligence reports and support the department in threat assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare periodic risk assessments and facility security reviews, document findings and recommendations.
• Participate in the development and delivery of staff training programs on situational awareness, workplace violence prevention, and personal safety.
• Provide guidance and support for handling harassment complaints and workplace conflict resolution.
• Support the department in implementing short-term security controls and deploying security personnel as needed.
• Maintain records of investigations, risk assessments, and training initiatives.
What You'll Bring To The Role
• Minimum of ten years of experience in law enforcement, security operations, or a related field.
• Of which, at least five years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws related to security and investigations.
• Experience with physical security systems, CCTV, and access control technologies.
• Ability to analyze facts, draw conclusions, and respond effectively in stressful situations.
• Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
• Ability to travel domestically as required.
• Experience in corporate security within a financial institution (preferred).
• Legal authority to carry a firearm, or eligibility to obtain such authority (preferred).
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain one (preferred).
• Strong presentation skills and comfort working across organizational levels (preferred).
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $183,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
