The Manager, Manufacturing Security & Fire Prevention manages and directs all asset protection, physical access control, physical intrusion detection, emergency response, fire prevention and life safety programs for the Canton plant and all Canton-based manufacturing related facilities. Administers the contract, security protection force and is responsible for their performance. Conducts investigations and interacts with federal, state and local law enforcement and fire agencies. Responsible for budgeting and financial accountability of Canton Security program. Serves as the plant’s corporate strategic and operational security expert. • Manage manufacturing security and fire prevention programs using personal knowledge and staff resources to ensure profitability, protection of company assets and the safety of employees and Nissan’s reputation. • Identify, analyze and develop responsive security strategies through interaction with the manufacturing management team. Develop procedures and practices to protect employees and physical assets. • Develop and manage security procedures and programs to assure the safeguard of all manufacturing personnel, facilities, materials, equipment and documentation. • Develop, implement and enforce security related policies and procedures. Provide updates to policies and procedures as needed. • Ensure standardization of all physical security systems and equipment. • Serve as a consultant resource to Nissan’s Senior Manager, Corporate Security on issues relating to physical security, information security and personal protection. • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but will consider applicable and equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Protection Professional CPP or Physical Security Professional (PSP) is preferred • 7+ years minimum combined experience in security, law enforcement or investigations. • 5+ years of related experience at a management/professional level supervising work groups greater than 30 personnel. • Experience effectively responding to incidents, monitoring assets, and communicating to a range of audiences utilizing various channels, including mass notification tools. • Working knowledge of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and its risk implication around fire prevention controls. • Experience conducting physical security assessments as well as implementing and managing a physical security framework to include the physical security controls included as part of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cyber Security Framework, and other industry security controls standards. • An in-depth knowledge of security programs, policy development and prevention/intervention strategies. Ability to establish credibility and influence with all customers to include peers in human resources, legal, facilities management, corporate communications and plant leadership.
