he Director of Security develops, implements, and administers a comprehensive facility safety and security plan to ensure the protection of staff, patients, visitors and property. Plans, coordinates, administers and continuously evaluates the security operations of the hospital in accordance with operating procedures, facility policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Serves as the designated Safety Officer for the facility. Provides leadership for the Emergency Management and Preparedness functions of the organization.

Brandon Regional Hospital is a 422 bed teaching facility featuring one of the state’s busiest ER services with more than 120,220 ER patients treated last year. The hospital recently completed a new 72-bed, 84,510 square foot addition which includes separate adult, pediatric and behavioral health ER programs to meet the needs of one of the largest suburb communities in Tampa Bay.

Other key services include a Women’s Center with Level III NICU; pediatrics and PICU; Heart and Vascular Center; Behavioral Health; Florida Bariatrics Centers; Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Spine centers. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI; Advanced Primary Stroke Center; Bariatric Center of Excellence (ASMBS); accredited Echocardiography Lab (ICAEL), certified Afib Center (SCPC) and has earned several Joint Commission disease specific certifications.

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, Security Management or related field required. Master’s Degree in related field strongly preferred


Minimum of 10-years of demonstrated experience in managing a corporate security or law enforcement program for a healthcare organization, corporation or in a federal/state agency, and 3-5 years experience in law enforcement preferred.
