As Director of Corporate Security at 3M, Steve oversaw the pioneering work and research that resulted in the establishment of proactive workplace violence prevention guidelines that ultimately came to be known as the ground-breaking Supporting a Non-Violent Workplace program. This program is recognized as the leading resource for corporations in protecting employees from violence in the workplace.
Steve has extensive experience providing direction and leadership to the security organization on a worldwide scale and has been responsible for the strategic development, implementation and oversight of a comprehensive, results-oriented security programs.
Professional Affiliations include: past president and Board of Directors member for the International Security Management Association (ISMA); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); U.S. Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC); Society of Former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; former member of Advisory Board, School of Criminal Justice, Michigan State University; past member of Mayor's Advisory Council, Safe City St. Paul, Minnesota.
